Robert Pattinson is one of the few newcomers to Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. He plays all-round nice guy Cedric Diggory, one of two Hogwarts students chosen to compete in the Triwizard Tournament. Born on May 14, 1986, you could say that he's very much an all-around guy. Playing the piano and the guitar are part of his musical pastimes. He's also into football, skiing and snowboarding. He does take his acting seriously, as he regularly performs at Barnes Theatre Club in London. You've most likely seen him in movies such as The Ring Of The Nibelungs and Vanity Fair. His acting inspiration is Jack Nicholson. "I aspire to be Jack Nicholson. I love every single mannerism. I used to try and be him in virtually everything I did, I don't know why. I watched One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest when I was about 13, and I dressed like him. I tried to do his accent. I did everything like him. I think it kind of stuck with me."
As Cedric Diggory he's the poster boy of perfection-a Seeker and team captain of Hufflepuff Quidditch team. A born leader, he was the chosen champion to represent Hogwarts in the Triwizard Tournament, alongside Harry, in The Goblet of Fire. Not just that, but he's a Prefect to boot! Talk about major brains and brawn.
He used to date Harry's previous crush, Cho Chang. And because of that, he was the object of much of Harry's jealousy in Books 3 and 4. He eventually became very close to harry during the Tournament, even returning the favor by helping Harry with the second clue.
