MTV's Movies Blog was able to talk with Kristen Stewart about Twilight and her role alongside Rob

For those who haven’t yet been bitten, “Twilight” will feature Stewart as Bella Swan, a teenage girl whose life gets turned upside-down after she meets and falls in love with a vampire. Additional names will be cast in the next few weeks, but according to the actress, 21-year-old Pattinson is already sinking his teeth into the role of Edward.

Apparently Rob's going to be playing the young Salvador Dali in a new film "Little Ashes" which shoots this autumn in Barcelona. This article has a more detailed synopsis and you can read an even more detailed spoilery one at the production company's site (obviously, it's under 'current projects').

Check out what Pattinson Online scooped! Rob features in the autumn advertsing campain for UK fashion chain Hackett (I'd hadn't heard of it either ) along with actor Matthew Goode, and...er, some other guys . Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this his fashion modelling debut?

According to it's IMDB page, How To Be will be released on 12 July 2008. There's nothing about that on the official site, so i guess that should be taken as a rumour for the time being.

Just a short heads-up to point everyone in the direction of How To Be at the IMDb.

The official How To Be site has been updated with a trailer(!) and now gives Rob's character's name as 'Arthur'. Pattinson Online also have some great stills from the film.

Unfortunately, I don't have any information regarding a release date, but I do have some info and links for Rob's most recent project, the feature film How To Be.

I've linked to some very spoilerish synopsis, but if you'd like a simple version: the film is about Walter (presumably played by Rob) a young man having an existential crisis, who manages to get a Canadian self-help guru whose book he's read, to come mentor him in London.

The life coach Dr Levi Ellington seems to be being played by veteran British actor Powell Jones, and the film also stars Jeremy Hardy (IMHO one of the best comedians out there, perhaps he's playing Rob's Dad?) among others.

There's a new clip from the drama here. Although it doesn't feature Rob, you can see a picture of Daniel (Rob's character), is a very fetching rainbow jumper to the right of the window!

No new pics of Rob, but it mentions (like a lot of the previews I've read) that Daniel is *very* new to Charlotte's school. Those of you who've read the book will recognise that that's a slight departure from the original plot, but not really a significant one.

"The Bad Mother's Handbook" will be released on region two DVD this month. According to Amazon, the release date is the 19th, but according to Play.com it's the 26th.

Obviously I'm not promoting either (or any) site, and I have no idea which is "correct". Remember to be sensible, and shop around if you're thinking of buying the DVD

For viewers in the UK, "Entertainment Today" will be previewing "The Bad Mother's Handbook" on their show this morning which just began. So if you can, turn on ITV NOW!

EDIT: They didn't show any new footage of Rob , although one of the TV presenters (who was the woman who conducted the official interviews at the "Goblet of Fire" premiere) mentioned accidentally that she was looking forward to it because it had 'Cedric Diggory' in it!

Anyway, the airdate for "The Bad Mother's Handbook" seems to be 9pm Monday 19th February. No word on any international sales yet...

According to a user on IMDb "The Summer House" will screen at festivals with a view to being extended into a feature. The best of both worlds!!

It looks like "The Summer House" is only a short film after all.

Kind of dissapointing in that actors don't tend to do many interviews for short films BUT directors of short films are always *really* keen to push their films at *every* film festival. So there's a good chance that it'll be playing in small venues all over the world, rather than being some tiny British feature that just plays in London, NY and LA for a week and then disappears. I'll be sure to post any and ever festival I see it's screening in when it starts doing the rounds!

Robert's at it once again, folks, this time filming a movie for ITV, according to C21 Media.net! This latest film is called "The Bad Mother's Handbook" and is based upon Kate Long's novel under the same name.

The Stage has published an article on their website about the shows and movies being played throughout this week. In that article was a mention of "The Haunted Airman":

Hello there!
Many news events have been happening lately! First of all, Rachael Stirling.com, Rob's co-star's fan site run by Bonnie, has a trailer for the BBCFour's Autumn films on YouTube. Thanks to Pattinson-Online.Net for the tip.

Secondly, thanks to G.W, the BBCFour site now has a page for the "The Haunted Airman". Along with a new promotional photo from the film, it has released several clips from the movie on the BBCFour site. In the three clips released, Toby (Rob's character) arrives at a remote mansion with his aunt, gets to know his psychiatrist, and later, finds himself faced with unwelcome guests at night. Amy recently added 115 captures to the gallery so make sure to head on over there to check them out!

For all of those with HBO, Goblet of Fire start playing on November 19th at 7pm Eastern Time. Plus, a special 'making of' will air throughout the month of November, beginning on the 7th at 6:45am Eastern Time. Thanks to Mugglenet for the tip!

EDIT: From the interview, we can see that Robert will be playing in a vampire movie (a dream that comes true for many fans!). The movie is called "After Dark" and Robert will be playing alongside Elisha Cuthbert and Daniel Bruhl. More information about the movie can be found on IMDB. The movie is still in pre-production and will be released in 2008.

Harry Potter Fan Zonehas just recieved an exclusive ticket update about the Weekend of Wizards convention!

All 50 golden tickets, each costing 89 euros, that allow you in on Saturday and Sunday have been sold out, along with the 50 dinner tickets. However, WoW just informed HPFZ that they added an additional 50 golden tickets and 20 dinner tickets! Did I mention that along with a purchase of a golden ticket, that it includes added bonuses?

The Harry Potter crew have been confirmed for both days and there are still many tickets for Saturday, Sunday, or both days available! To find out more about purchasing a ticket, click here!

As previously posted, Rob is attending Weekend of Wizards with several other Harry Potter stars. Now, thanks to the Harry Potter Fan Zone, here are some more details about the convention:

The dates have changed from November 18th and 19th to November 25th and 26th. On how to get tickets, you have two choices: you can pay 40 euros for both days or pay half that and go on either Saturday or Sunday!

Though no specific schedule for the event will be released until four weeks before the convention, it is said that it will include an autograph hour, lectures with a question and answer period, presentations, film panels, trailer shows and a dealer section!

Plus, for 15 euros, guests will get the oppurtunity to orchestrate a photoshoot with an actor/actress of their choice. In addition to the photoshoot, you may also have dinner with the actor/actress of your choice for 35 euros! Please note that tickets will sell fast so make sure you book yours as soon as possible!

Thanks to HPANA and DR.co.uk, we have just found out that the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire DVD now holds the Guniness World Record title for being the fastest selling DVD of all time! This film has now beat of Shrek 2 and Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace. According to CBBC Newsround and Warner Home Video, in the UK five copies were sold per second while in the US, over 5 million copies were sold on the first day that the film was released. The achievement will be added to the 2007 Guiness World Records book coming this August. Congrats to the cast and crew of HP!

In other news, the Goblet of Fire movie will soon be a downloadable movie through BitTorrent. Thanks to MuggleNet, TV Shows will begin at around being $1 while movies will cost the same as a DVD rental! The President of Warner Brothers Home Entertainment Group said "We've been struggling with peer-to-peer technology and trying to figure out a way to harness the good in all that the technology allows us to do. If we can convert 5, 10 or 15 percent of the illegal downloaders into consumers of our product, that is significant." BitTorrents cannot be copied of burned onto a DVD but are for computer watching only.

Good news for fans of Robert in Australia! Ring of the Nibelungs is airing on SBS in their Masterpiece on Saturday timeslot! Unfortunately Part 1 aired earlier today, but you can catch Part 2 Saturday April 8th at 1PM, and Part 3 Saturday April 15th at 1PM. Thanks to Centaine for the tip!

The Northern Echo has published an interview with some of the newer cast members, including Rob!

He was apprehensive about meeting the cast regulars in the bonding week before filming began. "I was so concerned about looking cool," he says. "It's weird seeing them. They are the most famous kids, I kept calling them famous. They're on their way to becoming icons. I used to try to be moody and stuff. I'm really good friends with a lot of people from the film. It was a long time, I was doing it for 11 months."

Scholastic has a batch of new interviews with cast members up at their website, including one with Robert!

Q: So it seems like you are doing a lot of period movies in costumes.

Robert: Yeah, I know. I think I'm doing another one next. I guess I have this thing for dragons. It is very strange.

Q: If you hadn't become an actor, what would you have become?

Robert: I have no idea. I was thinking about that. I would have just gone to university and would have kind of just done the average thing. I was just talking to my agent about that the other day. It is unbelievable that this stroke of luck has completely changed my entire life. I can't even remember what I was thinking those two years ago. Now I sort of do things differently, and I am reading all these scripts. I was out in LA a couple of weeks ago. I got an agent in LA, and it is ridiculous.

Next movie? Lots of scripts? Excellent.

School dinners. We didn't have packed lunches at my school. I was a lunch monitor as well - I used to take everyone's chips!

Up until I was 12 my sisters used to dress me up as a girl and introduce me as 'Claudia'! Twelve was a turning point as I moved to a mixed school and then I became cool and discovered hair gel.

I have no idea. I've been using the fan websites as I was acting it, because they know so much about the books, and it's really helpful as a resource.

But, I don't know. I have no idea. Someone asked for my autograph the other day which is quite cool. But, I don't know. I hope it doesn't make me not come out of my house, because I barely come out of my house as it is! So, we'll see.

" Robert, well he was just amazing!!!!!First that he’s much more good looking than on the films!!And he’s sexy :p he has this thing that he keeps running his fingers trough his hair and killing all the girls around!!!When he came to sign my picture, I asked if he got my letter*from a brazilian* with the same picture that he was signing, he said that "he's trying to sort things out, and it’s getting used to the ‘fame’", and smiled then I said ‘I hope the autograph will work cuz the picture it’s quite wet and here’s the best part, he actually got his sleeves and dried the picture with them, I almost died at that time!!!!And then signed!!!And said that he apologize for not replying yet, and I said that’s there’s no problem and thank you!!!!He was just wonderful and sooo polite!!!!And I loved meeting him and can't wait for a next time!!!He was being really nice to everyone ^^ "

Reality hitting fast?
Yeah! It is now! It wasn't until today with all these people, but this is Harry Potter! I'm only doing one so this is it for me, but it is quite intimidating!

I did want to ask about that, how is it to play a death scene like Cedric's a) in your first film in the middle of a series and b) that just happens so quickly and so shockingly?
Oh it's such a big thing. His thing is just that he dies. That's Cedric's claim to fame. It's quite a challenging part to play in that respect but it's nice though. He's a nice guy, and you really can't hate him, but it's tough on him, this film.


This is quite dark as far as the films have gone so far...
Kids have followed the books quite closely so the worry is this is going to be dark for them, but I think your imagination is more terrifying than a film could ever be and I think they're ready to see this side of the franchise.

"As they were taking their seats, Robert turned to me and said, "I've met you before, haven't I?" Unfortunately, my honest answer was no - I think I'd remember that! - but I appreciated his genial tone anyhow. Katie also said a quick hello before the conference commenced.


Robert was the keenest to talk throughout the conference, which everyone was fine with, as he gave the best answers. His charisma made for a really fun conference, and also made Katie and Stan considerably more comfortable."

The cast of Goblet of Fire held a photocall in London today, and I have some great HQ pics for you!





CBBC Newsround has a bit of a transcript up from the press conference!


What's it been like for the new cast members?
Robert: It was a great experience. I'd never done anything on this scale or budget, Everything about it was an incredible epic experience.

MuggleNet has posted the entire audio from today's press conference, so head on over there if you want to listen! They have also posted a transcript of the entire interview as well. Unfortunately no pictures were allowed at the conference.

We have two new pictures of Cedric and Cho at the yule ball from the Yule Ball secion of the newly revamped harry potter site.





Also there is a press conference in the UK tomorrow that Robert is attending so hopefully we will get some pictures from that!
